The Sound Environment is proud to host various unique events throughout the year. We recently hosted a screening of locally produced short film 20/20, by artist/filmmaker Evan Blakey and producer Stephen Sheehan.

3rd Annual Music Matters Event

The Sound Environment (Rockbrook Village Center, 11021 Elm St. Omaha NE) hosted its 3rd Annual Music on May 13th.an event with new speakers and electronics from Electrocompaniet, Joseph Audio; Meridian’s Sooloos Music Server and new Transparent Cable power products.

Peder Beckman from Electrocompaniet was on hand to discuss this exciting new line of products now prominently featured at The Sound Environment.

We were also pleased to welcome Brad O’Toole from Transparent Audio and Joseph Laverncik from Critical Mass Systems, who lead a discussion on the “secret stuff” that makes a system perform better.

2^nd Annual Home Theater Event

The Sound Environment will host an evening devoted to Home Theater, in its many aspects. We will have representatives in attendance from our best suppliers to make presentations and answer your questions. The event will be held Thursday October 15^th at our Omaha location. Sessions will be scheduled about every half hour from 4-9PM. Come early, stay late!

There will be many demonstrations of products related to home theater, including the exciting new Wilson Audio Sasha, replacement for the venerated Watt Puppy 8, the new Kaleidescape Mini System, Meridian’s Sooloos Music Server and 861 AV Processor. New speakers from Monitor Audio and Canton will be shown along with new AV Receivers from NAD and Arcam.

Report on our 1st Annual Home Theater Event: On Thursday, October 16th, The Sound Environment (Rockbrook Village Center, 11021 Elm St. Omaha, NE) hosted an event featuring more than 10 manufacturer representatives, including Arcam, Canton, Esoteric, Meridian, Runco, Transparent and Wilson Audio.

Highlights included the opening of our long awaited new demonstration room featuring the Aerial Acoustics System 1 home theater speaker system powered by the Meridian G95 DVD Receiver. We also introduced the new Meridian MF10 DILA cinema projector and a host of other new products from Meridian including active speakers. The new EVO wall system was showcased along with the Kaleidescape and Vudu video servers.

MUSIC MATTERS EVENT:

On Thursday May 22^nd, The Sound Environment hosted an event with Wilson Audio, Boulder Amplifiers and Transparent Cable at our Omaha location. The event introduced the Wilson Thor’s Hammer sub-woofer, the Boulder 1021 CD player and the new MM-2 cables from Transparent.

The amazing Boulder CD player was a preproduction model available to us for only a few days. We will have a production model as soon as possible. The top of the line Boulder 2010 preamplifier and 2060 amplifier will remain on display until mid-June and the Thor's Hammer is a permanent addition to our collection.

The new dCS Puccini CD player did arrive and is in use with the Boulder 865 integrated amplifier and Wilson Sophias. This is the system on which Brad O'Toole demonstrated the new MM2 Transparent cables. Both of these CD players are excellent but offer different facilities.
