INTRODUCING THIRD THURSDAYS AT TSE
We will stay open late on the third Thursday of every month beginning in July. So, beginning Thursday, July 16, we will be open until 8PM rather than closing at 6PM. This will give people with time conflicts a better opportunity to visit us. Of course, you can always make a specific after or before-hours appointment; just give us a call.
THIRD THURSDAY LISTENING SESSIONS (7-8PM)
In addition to extended hours, we will also start hosting Thursday Listening Sessions from 7-8PM on those evenings. These are community-based listening sessions focused on the enjoyment of music. Just come in and listen. The musical selections will vary across all genres. Initially, we will select two albums from which we will play selected tracks or sides.
We will let you know in advance what albums we have selected and entertain requests for future sessions. We will start the first session at 7PM and the second at 7:30. We ask that you not interrupt a session for late entry to be courteous to those who are already seated.
DEBUT ALBUMS FOR DEBUT SESSIONS
For our debut Thursday Listening Session, we’ve chosen impactful debut albums as our theme. Debut albums capture a unique moment—when an artist or band introduces themselves to the world with fresh ideas, raw ambition, and an unmistakable sense of identity. Some become more than just successful albums; they redefine genres, reflect the culture of their time, and inspire generations of musicians and listeners alike. With so many influential debuts to choose from, selecting just two was difficult.

NALA SINEPHRO “SPACE 1.8”
Space 1.8 (2021) quickly became one of the defining jazz debuts of the decade, earning widespread critical acclaim while expanding the boundaries of modern jazz through its blend of ambient, electronic, and improvisational elements. Its success helped shape the growing ambient-jazz movement and reinforced London’s reputation as a hub for innovative, genre-defying music.

LORDE “PURE HEROINE”
Released in 2013, Pure Heroine established Lorde as a distinctive new voice in pop, pairing minimalist production with thoughtful, introspective lyrics about youth, identity, and modern life.
