It has been some time since our last E-News. Beginning with this one, we will do a better job keeping you informed of new products and happenings at The Sound Environment. There is a lot to talk about. From now on, we will send out an E-News every Thursday.

We are revitalizing our Home Theater rooms at both our Omaha and KC locations. We will catch you up on these once they are fully up and running in about two weeks.

In Omaha, we invite you to listen to the new DS E3 phono system, which includes the cartridge and phono stage. The system price is $3,000. The DS is an entirely new type of phono cartridge where the signal is created in a very different way from conventional magnet/coil-style cartridges. It is really very cool. If you are interested in how it works and what it means for the end result, stop in, and we can discuss it with you.

In Omaha, we have recently replaced the Aurender W20SE streamer/server with their new statement N50 three-chassis Music streamer/server. We also have the N20 streamer/server in Omaha available for audition paired with the Gryphon Audio Diablo 333 integrated amplifier and Wilson Audio Sabrina V speakers. The N50 and N20 incorporate two slots for storage cards. The storage capacity is as much as 16TB, which translates to lots of albums. Purchase and storage of your favorite albums on your server will avoid disappointment if the online service you use decides to remove them from what they offer. The N50 is $38,500. While the W20SE is officially discontinued, it was Aurender’s top-of-the-line digital output steamer/server until the arrival of the N50. The W20SE is a single chassis design. We are busy with the installation of Rockport Technologies Lyra speakers in Florida next week and continuing work on the system of one of our customers in Georgia later in March. If you generally work with a particular consultant who might be on one of these jobs, give them a call. If they do not answer, please leave a message. They will get back to you as soon as they can.

Some of us will be traveling to Los Angeles in the next month or so to participate in a Gryphon dealer meeting and education on Gryphon products. In May, we are off to Wilson to hear Daryl Wilson’s new magnum opus speaker.
