WHY INVEST IN AN AUDIO SYSTEM?
I recently read something that extolled what we learn as we grow older. One line stopped me and got me thinking.
“Invest in experiences, not in things.”
It is not uncommon for us to measure wealth by how many things we’ve accumulated over the years, but real wealth might also be measured by what we’ve experienced. That got me thinking about audio…
A well-curated and set-up audio system’s whole purpose is to create experiences. I’ve been to the Aquarius Theater in 1969 to hear the Doors live; I’ve heard Bob Dylan having fun in the studio recording “Rainy Day Woman No’s 12 & 32”. I don’t live in New York, but I’ve heard numerous concerts in Carnegie Hall. I’ve experienced the power and majesty of many of the world’s great orchestras. I’ve gotten goosebumps, I’ve shed tears, and I’ve shared many of these experiences with family and friends.
A well-curated and set-up audio system is a treasure trove of experiences just waiting to happen.
Now, a tiny, modest sales pitch. No matter what system you listen to at The Sound Environment, they’re set up to give you these kinds of experiences. That’s what we do. We search out and carry components that reliably make great music, we figure out how to optimize them in our customers’ systems, and set them up to create glorious, memorable experiences. Insist on that; don’t go somewhere else and get less.
